Privacy Policy — DopaDo
The short version: DopaDo does not collect your personal data. There are no accounts, no tracking, no analytics, and no servers. Everything you create stays on your device. This policy explains that in full and describes your rights.
1. Who we are
DopaDo (“the app,” “we,” “us,” “our”) is an iPhone habit-and-focus app published by Kaspar Works, LLC (the “data controller”). If you have any question about privacy, contact us at kaspar@kaspar.works.
2. Scope
This policy applies to the DopaDo iOS app and this website. It explains what information is and isn’t processed when you use DopaDo, and your rights under laws including the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA/CPRA), and the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
3. Information we collect
We do not collect personal information. DopaDo has no user accounts, no login, no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party trackers. We operate no servers that receive your data.
Specifically, the app does not collect, transmit, sell, or share:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or contacts;
- Your precise or approximate location;
- Your habits, completion history, streaks, points, or insights;
- Device identifiers used for tracking or advertising;
- Usage analytics, crash analytics, or behavioral data.
4. Information stored on your device
The data you create in DopaDo — your habits, daily completions, streaks, points, and on-device insights — is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple’s on-device database (SwiftData). It is never uploaded to us.
Home-screen widget
A small snapshot of your current day and today’s habits is shared with the DopaDo widget through a private, on-device App Group container so the widget can display it. This data remains on your device.
Optional iCloud
If a future version offers iCloud sync and you enable it, your data would be stored in your own private iCloud account, accessible only to you and governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We would never receive or be able to access it.
5. On-device insights (“Private Insights”)
DopaDo can show insights about your own patterns (for example, what time of day you complete habits). These are computed entirely on your device from your own activity. No data is sent to any server or third-party service to generate them.
6. Notifications
If you opt in, DopaDo schedules local reminders directly on your device using Apple’s notification system. No notification content is sent to us or any third party. You can disable notifications anytime in the app’s Settings or in iOS Settings.
7. Purchases and subscriptions
DopaDo offers an optional auto-renewing subscription, DopaDo Plus, processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment details or your Apple ID. Apple’s handling of purchases is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings.
8. Third parties and SDKs
DopaDo contains no third-party advertising, analytics, attribution, or tracking SDKs. Because we collect no data, we have nothing to share with third parties. The only external parties involved are Apple (for app distribution, on-device frameworks, and subscription processing) and, only if you enable it, Apple iCloud.
9. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)
Because DopaDo processes your information only on your own device and we do not receive it, we do not act as a controller of personal data transmitted to us. To the extent any processing applies, our basis is your consent (e.g., enabling notifications) and the performance of the app you requested. We do not carry out profiling or automated decision-making that produces legal effects.
10. Your rights
Because your data lives only on your device, you are always in full control:
- Access & portability: your data is visible to you in the app at any time.
- Deletion: use Settings → Delete all local data in the app, or delete the app, to permanently erase all of its data from your device.
- Rectification: edit or remove any habit at any time.
There is nothing for us to access, export, correct, or erase on our side, because we hold no personal data about you. EU/UK users have rights under the GDPR; California users have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of “sale”/“sharing.” We do not sell or share personal information and have never done so. You may contact kaspar@kaspar.works to exercise any right or raise a concern; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
11. Data retention
We retain no personal data, because we collect none. Data you create remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app.
12. Children’s privacy
DopaDo is rated 4+ and is suitable for general audiences, but it is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the app collects no data from any user, no information is gathered from children.
13. International users and data transfers
DopaDo does not transfer your personal data internationally because it does not transmit your data off your device at all. App distribution and subscriptions are handled by Apple under Apple’s own privacy terms.
14. Security
Your data is protected by your device’s built-in security and iOS data protection (encryption at rest). Because we operate no servers and collect no data, there is no central database that could be breached.
15. Do Not Track
DopaDo does not track users across apps or websites, and contains no advertising or analytics that would respond to a “Do Not Track” signal.
16. Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles data, we will update this policy and revise the “Last updated” date above, and reflect material changes in an app update.
